no budget film studio

I haven't done much update on what I'm doing in school right now, so ill give you a brief summary.

I am in a group of 12 people. People that I don't really know. And I voluntarily raise my arm to become the group coordinator (I don't know why I did this). Anyways coordinating 12 people is not easy. You spend most of the time arguing. Briefing. Arguing again. I have to deal with people who are late and worse never show up. I have to make sure our group is in the right track. Human resource is important. Group work is something we all have to learn. We cannot simply live without other human beings. A life long lesson.

However things have gone great! I enjoy working late in school with the others, working in the workshop, get messy, taking in wood dust, talk about food when it comes to 5pm and learn weird russian words (the later we stay in school the weirder we all get).

So basically, our task is to turn our working studio into a film studio with no budget! We have to create platforms for the models other groups are creating. We have to create some sort of camera systems like railings and dolly. Create adjustable lightings, reflectors and the list goes on.

...and yeeahh to us nothing goes wrong during the Christmas break. It was like when we left it on the 11st of December 2011.

The whole project is leading into a 4 minute video. Im quite excited for this video project since our group is going to film 'behind the stage scenes'. Bloopers maybe ;D

Orthographic Drawings

"It is the role and function of the drawing to give buildings and part of buildings a suitable layout; an exact proportion; a proper organization; a harmonious plan, such that an entire form of construction is borne fully within the drawing it self."

Plan.
From Latin word - planus. Flat level. The flattened view from the above.

Catal Huyuk wall painting 6000 BC. This is a city plan.

Elevation.
From Latin word - Levatino. ‘a lift up’. A mitigation.
A geometrical projection of a building or other object, on a plane perpendicular to the horizon.

A child drawing of a house. This is not exactly an elevation this is more of a facade of a house but since we are young unconsciously we think architecturaly.

Section.
From Latin world - Secare. To cut slice.
Façade hides the secret of architecture construction. It's considered the work of art. Section reviles it.
Where to cut? To give as much info as possible.
Section shows not just construction, but also the purpose and use of the building.

Old ruins become the main medium of classical architecture

first year

So here I am back in the UK starting my first year BA (hons) Interior and Spatial design in Chelsea College of art and design. Apologize for my long term posting absent I had to much fun spending summer at home, anyways I’ll get to that soon.

During the foundation course we have one project at a time but now, we have few going on in the same time. However somehow the course seems more organize and it insists me to be able to manage my time.
My course looks something like this...

talk to you soon

 Have a great weekend

3D Spatial Part III

Enough with my selfishness, again I will be showing other students' great work! I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Loved this really cute sandwich box!

As you can see this 3D model is a chin rest! Not just the final piece but i really like her initial idea! is very unusual, out of the box and humorous as well.

This is her supporting work! her sketch book are also very three dimensional.

This is to keep your plastic bag's tidy :p

If you're sick of doing art just bump your head to this cute design!

We are all so relaxed after the presentation and the crit.

Admiring work or posing?

No Title

Wasn't sure what I want the title to be, however this post is dedicated to my classmate because they have such marvelous work. I love looking and documenting other people's work as I think learn from others too. I like our projects because even-though our project brief  is so simple every single student in my class comes up with totally different ideas and I'm just amazed on how creativity reflects different people. So here are some others work from the 3D and Spatial Rotation.

Coolness! Paper!

And here are some great drawings I love!

Work work work and play!

This is what I do in the studio's when I am supper bored! I take pictures :D And there will be someone at-least someone posing for me.
